Towards an Energizing Partnership? Exploring China’s role as catalyst of renewable energy development in Africa
China is becoming a major investor in the renewable energy sector in Africa. Climate Focus and GPPi have prepared a study that assesses the potential benefits and challenges related to increasing Chinese involvement in Africa’s renewable energy sector. It identifies ways in which African countries can reap the benefits while minimizing risks. The study has been carried out for WWF Norway and WWF USA and has been supported by Norad.
The report contains case studies for South Africa, Mozambique and Uganda.
