Sanjana Chopra

Sanjana Chopra is an Analyst at Climate Focus, where she works on carbon markets and supports research, advisory, and capacity-building projects related to the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. She is particularly interested in how market-based climate solutions can support developing countries.

Before joining Climate Focus, Sanjana worked as a consultant at a niche consulting firm, advising financial institutions on the design and implementation of green financial mechanisms. This experience sparked her interest in carbon markets and led her to pursue her current role.

Sanjana holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin, where she specialized in Sustainability and Climate Policy. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology from St. Joseph’s University in Bangalore, India.

She speaks fluent English and Hindi. In her free time, Sanjana enjoys exploring new restaurants in the city and working on a good puzzle.
