Pablo Nuñez

Pablo Nuñez is a Consultant at Climate Focus, based in Washington, DC. Pablo specializes in climate finance, carbon markets, and sustainable land use. He supports public and private sector clients to design and implement climate mitigation projects, programs and policies, including through engagement with carbon markets and other climate finance mechanisms. His work includes capacity-building for different stakeholder groups, such as Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and policymakers, to ensure they can engage more fairly and effectively with carbon markets.

Previously, Pablo worked as a research assistant at the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) in Potsdam, conducting research at the intersection of democracy, climate politics, and environmental justice.

Pablo holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Michigan, and an MSc in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
