Jesús Mallol Díaz

Jesús Mallol Díaz is a Consultant at Climate Focus. His work is focused on carbon market data analysis, building market forecast and GHG accounting models, and supporting climate finance advisory work.

Prior to joining Climate Focus, he worked as a research assistant in different natural science labs while completing his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He also worked at a biochemistry lab at Vanderbilt University assisting in DNA replication research using cell extracts prepared from eggs of the African clawed frog (Xenopus laevis). Additionally, Jesús attended Lund University for his MSc in Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, where he developed wheat yield forecasting models using remotely sensed data and machine learning algorithms for his thesis.

Jesús is fluent in English and Spanish. In his free time, enjoys exploring the outdoors and traveling.
