Georg Hahn

Georg Hahn is a Consultant at Climate Focus, based in Washington, DC. He specializes in sustainable land use, forest protection, and food systems sustainability, and is part of the team steering the annual Forest Declaration Assessment to advance accountability for global forest goals. He has been involved in the development of various actionable knowledge platforms for decision-makers such as the Forest Declaration Dashboard and Food Forward NDCs & NBSAPs.

Previously, Georg worked as an Associate Researcher at Climate Focus and at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, supporting communication of development cooperation and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Georg holds an M.A. in International Relations from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and the University of Potsdam, and a B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of Freiburg.
