Anna Rynearson

Anna Rynearson is a Consultant and Communications Specialist at Climate Focus, specializing in forests and land use. Anna co-authors the Forest Declaration Assessment, where she researches efforts to track global progress on forest goals, sustainable production and development, forest finance, and forest rights and governance. She has also worked on projects related to food systems, NDC progress tracking, and enhancing capacities for project developers in the voluntary carbon market.

Before joining Climate Focus, Anna advised start-ups on integrating sustainable and climate-conscious strategies into their business models while earning her MSc in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh. Her dissertation explored public perceptions and acceptance of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and negative emissions technologies (NETs).

Earlier in her career, Anna worked in law firm administration in Minneapolis, MN, following her BA in Political Science from Macalester College.
