About the training
This two-day training will focus on:

Publication types and methodologies relevant to the region (e.g., grassland regeneration, agroforestry)

Certification of NbS carbon publications

Commercialization of carbon credits

Navigating regulatory frameworks

Dates: September 1–2, 2025

Location & format: In-person in Addis Ababa and virtual (hybrid)

Cost: Free of charge (includes lunch for in-person participants)

Capacity: A maximum of 50 participants will be selected (up to 30 participants will attend in-person and up to 20 will attend virtually). If interest exceeds available spots, a selection process will apply.

Financial support: Accommodation support available for 20 in-person participants. The application form collects relevant information related to this support.
Who should apply?
We welcome applicants who are in the early stages of developing, or are exploring the development of, NbS carbon publications in Eastern Africa Alliance (EAA) member countries (Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Sudan). This training is not intended for experienced publication developers.
