Creation and Evolution of Adaptation Funds

The report “Creation and Evolution of Adaptation Funds”, commissioned by WWF, explores the history and evolution of the four largest existing adaptation funds, the Adaptation Fund (AF), Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF), Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF) and Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR). The report also analyses the funds with particular focus on organizational and financing effectiveness, efficiency and equity as well as additionality, appropriateness and predictability of finance and procedural and distributive justice. The report contains four Annexes with detailed data and information on the four funds.
