The Rotterdamse Klimaatoproep started in early 2018 when 63 businesses and organizations launched a successful call for more climate action in the run-up to the municipal elections. The new city government endorsed the call and put energy transition on top of its priorities for the coming four years. The city government has embraced the Klimaatoproep as a key initiative to reach a city-wide climate agreement in 2019.

The Rotterdamse Klimaatoproep unites large and small businesses and organizations, multinationals and local outlets, establishments and newcomers to the scene. Diversity and inclusiveness is a main driver in getting the energy transition done.
