Ahead of COP29, the newly updated Toolkit for National Action on Climate, Biodiversity, and Water in Agriculture and Food Systems aims to be a comprehensive resource designed to support national policymakers and decision-makers as they drive forward climate, biodiversity, and water action and transformative changes within food and agriculture systems.

The toolkit serves as a practical guide for integrating sustainable agriculture and food measures into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).

It includes:

  • Priority actions to accelerate national progress on climate and food systems transformation.
  • Examples of successful NDCs, NBSAPs, and NAPs showcasing how countries are integrating agriculture and food measures effectively.
  • An overview of valuable initiatives, platforms, and tools to support governments in crafting and implementing robust agricultural policies within their climate commitments.
