Stanislaw Czaplicki Cabezas
Stanislaw (Stasiek) Czaplicki Cabezas is a land use consultant with a regional focus on Latin America. He has broad experience in technical advising and applied research for international and national NGO’s. In particular, he has worked in the development of a payment of environmental services scheme for the city of La Paz, Bolivia, and a climate change vulnerability index for Bolivia as well as forest and protected area sustainable management.
Before joining Climate Focus, he worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UNFAO) as an economist. He undertook global cereals market and food security analyses in particular for Latin America. Prior, he worked for the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in the development of a cost-benefit analysis tool to prioritize and scale up climate smart agricultural practices in coffee and cacao farming.
Stasiek likes being socially involved in his community through advocacy, street art or any other means. He also enjoys cooking, biking, running and reading a book in a nice park.
He holds a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Toulouse 1, France, an Msc degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics as well as an Msc in Agricultural Development from the University of Copenhagen.
