Ana María Arbeláez
Ana María Arbeláez Trujillo is a legal consultant at Climate Focus with experience in climate policies and environmental governance. Her current work focuses on strategic communication of climate policies, climate law, and forestry.
Before joining Climate Focus, Ana María worked as a research assistant in the field of political economy at the International Institute of Social Studies of the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, and as a legal advisor for the implementation of social housing and water and sanitation projects at Findeter, Colombia.
Ana María holds a Bachelor in Laws from Universidad de Caldas, a postgraduate title in Environmental Law from Universidad del Rosario, and a Master in Public Policy (with merit) from the International Institute of Social Studies of the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and the Institute Barcelona Studis Internacionals. In her Master thesis, she analyzed the environmental and social impacts of mining policies in local communities in Colombia.
She is passionate about climate justice, and in her spare time she enjoys cycling, yoga, writing, reading, and spending time outdoors.
