  • Enhancing employment in these areas
  • Attracting talent
  • Creating a motivated sparring partner for the city administration
  • Boosting energy transition projects and investments

Major Aboutaleb receives the Rotterdam Climate Call for Action from representatives of Woonstad Rotterdam (housing corporation), AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals and Eneco

The Rotterdamse Klimaatoproep started early 2018 when 63 businesses and organizations launched a successful call for more climate action in the run-up to the municipal elections. The new city government endorsed the call and put energy transition on top of its priorities for the coming four years. The city government has embraced the Klimaatoproep as a key initiative to reach a city-wide climate agreement in 2019.

The Rotterdamse Klimaatoproep unites large and small businesses and organisations, multinationals and local outlets, establishment and newcomers to the scene. The diversity and inclusiveness is a main driver to get the energy transition done.
