Hilda Galt is a senior consultant at Climate Focus. She specializes in the development and assessment of small-scale renewable energy and energy efficiency projects and programs. She has experience in project development, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and project management. Her particular area of interest is the coupling of climate finance mechanisms with social, economic and environmental benefits to advance sustainable development. During her career, she has also evaluated and developed numerous carbon projects/programs under the Clean Development Mechanism and the Voluntary Gold Standard in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Climate Focus, Hilda worked in the wastewater treatment sector with Veolia Water on various carbon footprint and corporate sustainability initiatives. In her free time, Hilda likes to spend time hiking and cycling in the great outdoors.
Hilda holds degrees from the University of Edinburgh’s School of Business (BSc in ecological science with honors in conservation and ecological management, and MSc in carbon management). She also holds a diploma in monitoring & evaluation in development projects from the Maastricht School of Management.
