Land Use Consultant

Paul-Harvey Weiner

Paul-Harvey has experience in corporate sustainability, environmental chemistry, environmental policy, and a keen interest in using the latest data analysis tools to create evidence-based solutions. Prior to joining Climate Focus, he worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Stratospheric Protection Division where he supported the U.S. negotiating team in the successful adoption of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. The Montreal Protocol had successfully controlled emissions of ozone-depleting substances in the 30 years since its adoption. The Kigali Amendment sought to limit growth in the consumption and production of the replacement chemicals for ozone-depleting substances due to their high global warming potentials. Before EPA, he worked under a grant funded by the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves to perform a market segmentation study on clean cookstove users in Guatemala. Paul-Harvey also has experience working in the environmental consulting and defense industries on environmental compliance and corporate sustainability projects. He is an avid bluegrass music fan and banjo player and enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible.

Paul-Harvey holds a degree from Yale University (BA Environmental Engineering) and degrees from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment (Master of Environmental Management) and Pratt School of Engineering (Master of Engineering Management).
